Social Discrimination
- Black people have been an outcast in american society for generation
- Nearly half (45%) of African Americans experienced racial discrimination when trying to rent an apartment or buy a home.
Segregation
- Segregation is the practice of requiring separate housing, education and other services for people of color. Segregation was made law several times in 18th- and 19th-century, some believed that Black and white people were incapable of coexisting.
Systemic Discrimination
- Since the nation’s founding, the fabric of American society has been woven with deeply racist policies that directly harm Black, Indigenous, and other people of color. These policies have led to an unequal system where marginalized communities have been systematically locked out of opportunities in jobs, education, and housing.

- NSBE
  - The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is a society that was founded in 1975 at Purdue University, located in West Lafayette, Indiana. It is one of the largest student-run organizations in the United States, with core activities centered on improving the recruitment and retention of Black and other minority engineers in both academia and industry.
- BSU
  - The black student union is an organization created for the betterment and h In higher education in the United States, a Black Student Union is an organization of Black students, generally with a focus on protest.
- NAACP
  - The NAACP or National Association for the Advancement of Colored People was established in 1909 and is America's oldest and largest civil rights organization. It was formed in New York City by white and Black activists, partially in response to the ongoing violence against Black Americans around the country.
